Author Subject: Female vocalist needed for original rock/metal band
Chris Posted At 13:49:06 09/15/2004
I'm looking for a talented female vocalist for a very original rock/metal band based in Cleveland, Ohio. The music is a combination of heaviness (sometimes straight forward, occasionally with a progressive touch and other times with a nice groove) intermixed with clean/acoustic sections. Very melodic, dynamic, emotional and powerful! I can't really compare the style to other bands, but it's a bit heavier and more diverse than Evanescence and Lacuna coil and has huge potential! I'm looking for a quality female vocalist who can sing melodically and a little heavier at times (no growling or anything like that), just with some power and occasional aggression. A good range is always welcome and some vocal training would be nice, but is not necessary as long as you can sing like a pro! Dedication is a must and relocation is not absolutely necessary. I can't say anything about traveling/touring now, but if you're serious then I assume you would make the necessary sacrifices to do it. I'm a bit tired of dealing with wannabe singers - those who say they are interested, but when push comes to shove, they never contact you again. If you want to make a living with music and feel you have the right voice for this kind of band then do not hesitate to contact me. I have a degree in guitar and have cd's released internationally with another band where I am the main writer so you will be dealing with true musicians and professionals. I also have many label contacts both in the US and in Europe. A demo is also recommended, but if you have a list of some covers you can sing then we can just do an audition. If you are out of state it's not too difficult to collaborate via the internet with ideas/recordings. This is a very serious project and with the right voice will go very far. I have about 5 songs complete and have outilines of 5 more for a complete CD. I will be recording some rough demos with my band soon so don't miss this opportunity!

Hey Chris... My name is Sarah... I have to agree with you. I'm tired of the people who arent dedicated.. It's been my biggest dream for like ever. As long as I remember. And there is no play around.. I'm all serious..... but there is one slighty small problem.. I live in Arkansas.. And I'm haveing trouble finding the "opportunities" that I need to get somewhere... Anywhere. I DO have what it takes and I AM dedicated to the gift I have. I don't exactly know if my parents would let me relocate but it's worth a shot. And the part about Amy Lee (Evanescence).. uh.. I've been told I sound like her.. Not EXACTLY but... I do have a good voice... I know you said it wasnt exactly what your looking for... but.. If it means anything to you at all.... Can I please.. HAve a chance. (I'm so sick of not being able to get anywhere b/c I live in a small town.. And last night I reached my last nerve... I broke down crying.. but.. That doesnt mean I'm givin up... Cuz trust me.... I prolly wont stop trying till I'm dead in my grave lol) But.. I just wanted to say... PLEASE... all I'm asking for is a CHANCE. To show you what I have.

Thanks
-Sarah

Hey Chris, my nam'es Ashley, and I live in the akron area, about 45 minutes from cleveland. I'm 17 and have a son, but I have already graduated from highschool, and I am a VERY hard working and dedicated person to whatever I set my sights upon. I have an extremely broad vocal range and can sing any type of music you throw at me.I have been gifted with many facets to my voice and can perform anything ranging from ballads, to classical, hard-core rock,or even gospel. Only thing that poses a problem? I can't drive until march when I will be 18.
